NOTICE
OF RACE
1. RULES: The regatta will be
governed by the 2005-2008 Racing Rules of Sailing, the rules of the one design
classes, the Notice of Race, and the sailing instructions. This event is classified ISAF advertising
code Category C, Appendix 1.
2.
ELIGIBILITY:
The regatta is open to all mono hulled yachts with a current PHRF rating as
issued by the First Coast Sailing Association, and one design cruising yachts.
3.
REGISTRATION:
Registration will open at 0900 hours at the Fleet Center at the Florida Yacht
Club. Registration will close at 0945 Hours.
4.
SKIPPER’S MEETING:
The skipper’s meeting will commence at 1000 hours and will be held on the patio
of the Fleet Center. If there are any
changes to the sailing instructions they will be announced at that time.
5.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
Warning signal:
1155 hours
Preparatory signal: 1156 hours
Start-PHRF Spin. 1200 hours
Start-PHRF Non Spin 1205 hours
Start-Cruiser 1210 hours
6.
DIVISIONS/CLASSES: There
will be a PHRF Spinnaker, PHRF Non-Spinnaker, and a Cruiser Division.
7. FEES: Regatta Entry will be $25.00.
8.
SAILING INSTRUCTIONS:
Will be available at the Fleet Center on Race Day.
9.
COURSE: The
courses will be described in the sailing instructions.
10.
PENALTIES:
The Round an End Rule (RRS 30.1) will be in effect. The Two Turns Rule (RRS 44.2) will be in
effect.
11.
SCORING:
The time on distance scoring method will apply for all PHRF divisions.
12.
PRIZES:
Prizes will be awarded to Yachts finishing first, second and third in each
class with over five yachts registered. A
first place prize will be awarded in classes with less than five yachts
registered.
13.SOCIAL/PARTY: Immediately following the
conclusion of the races on the patio of the Fleet Center.
