March 19th was a great day to race Flying Scot class boats south end of the Mulberry Cove. Race started at 1216 temperature was in the mid to upper sixties, party cloudy skies, with lit winds out of NW 3 to 5 knots. Marks had to be moved several times to square race course with wind that shift from NW, NE and finally settled in from the North 5 to 8 knots, with gust to 10 knots. Boats where evenly matched with the more experienced sailors and crew leading the way. In all five races the seven competitors where able to finish within ten minutes of the winning boat. This is the first race for the four race series next race is April 9th. |
